Pricing
TIJ cartridge price: the figures we publish, and what moves them
Most suppliers answer a price question with "send us an enquiry". We publish the numbers instead: USD 28 for the half-inch black cartridge, USD 58 for the one-inch, and USD 55 / 65 for the handheld coders. Minimum order 160 cartridges, every figure EXW. That way you can judge whether we are in your range before you spend time on a call. On this page: the unit prices for cartridges and for machines, what the figure does and does not cover, the delivery term, our refund commitment, and the customs code that goes on our export documents.
Published unit prices
Unit prices in US dollars for the standard black cartridge, the volume product in our range. Coloured cartridges are quoted individually.
| Cartridge | Print width | Unit price (USD) |
|---|---|---|
| Black cartridge — half-inch | 12.7 mm | USD 28 |
| Black cartridge — one-inch | 25.4 mm | USD 58 |
| Colour cartridge | 12.7 mm and 25.4 mm | Quoted on application |
What the figure covers
- The price is per cartridge, for a standard black cartridge in HP45 format with a 42 ml fill. Freight, insurance, import duty and local taxes are separate, and depend on your destination.
- Coloured cartridges — cyan, magenta, yellow, white and red — are quoted on application. The figure depends on the ink system and on the colour, so a colour list price would mislead more than it helps.
- A published price is a starting point, not a quotation. The document that counts is the quotation: it states the quantity, the ink system, the delivery term and the date.
- This page covers cartridges. The handheld and inline machine prices are in the next table, and machine quantities are quoted on the same basis.
Published machine prices
The same rule applies to the machines: we publish the unit price rather than asking you to enquire first. These are machine prices, not cartridge prices — the figures below are per machine, EXW, and the printer is supplied together with a specialist equipment-manufacturing partner rather than built in our own plant.
| Machine | Print width | Unit price (USD) |
|---|---|---|
| Handheld TIJ coder — half-inch | 12.7 mm | USD 55 |
| Handheld TIJ coder — one-inch | 25.4 mm | USD 65 |
| Inline industrial coder — single head | 12.7 mm, stitchable to 76.2 mm | USD 299 |
How our prices are stated
Every published figure on this site is an EXW price — Ex Works. That means the price is the factory price, and it is the price of the goods at our works, not at your door.
Freight, cargo insurance, import duty and any local taxes are not in that figure. They depend on your destination, the method you want us to use and the market rate on the day, so we cannot put a single honest number on them. Ask for them in the quotation and they are stated line by line.
If a different delivery term suits you better — CIF or DAP to your address, for instance — say so in your enquiry. We will build the quotation on that term instead, so you can compare the two on the same document.
This is why the number on this page is a starting point rather than a landed cost: the goods price is knowable and publishable, the freight part is not. We would rather show you the part we know and quote the part that moves.
The refund we commit to
One commitment, stated in plain words: if what arrives does not match what this site promised, you get your money back in full. This is a 30-day window, it applies to every country we ship to, and there is no negotiation attached to it.
- 01
You have 30 days from delivery to tell us the goods do not match the published description, the specification or the documentation.
- 02
Send the goods back to us in a condition we can resell them in — unused, with the original packing. That is the condition we ask for, and we state it up front rather than after the parcel arrives.
- 03
We refund 100% of what you paid for the goods. No restocking deduction, no "handling fee", no percentage held back.
- 04
The policy applies to every country we ship to, not only to the easy markets. Where a return is ours to arrange, we arrange it.
What changes the number
Two buyers can both ask for a black cartridge and be quoted different figures without either supplier being dishonest. These are the variables behind the difference.
The ink system
Water-based, fast-dry solvent, covert UV and oil-based inks are different chemistries with different raw-material costs. A covert UV ink that has to stay invisible in daylight does not cost what a standard solvent black costs.
The print width
A one-inch cartridge costs more than a half-inch one because there is more of it: more print width, more ink, more jetting area.
The quantity and the schedule
One shipment of 160 cartridges and a recurring monthly volume are not the same order to fill. Send the annual figure and the rhythm, not only the size of the first order.
Label and ink work
Private-label artwork and adjusted formulations are work that happens before the first cartridge is filled, and that work sits on top of the unit price.
Order terms
The commercial terms here are the same as anywhere else on this site. Private label and adjusted ink change the artwork and the formulation, not the minimum.
| Minimum order | 160 cartridges (one carton) |
|---|---|
| Lead time | Ships within 3 working days of payment |
| Sample printing | Free of charge, on your own material |
| Private label (OEM) | Your brand on the cartridge label |
| Ink adjustment (ODM) | Formulation adjusted to your requirement |
The customs code we declare
Importing means paperwork, and the paperwork needs a code. This page carries two sets of numbers: the code we declare on our own export documents for the cartridges, and the reference codes buyers ask about for the equipment around them. The same question also arrives in three shapes, one card each further down: the ink cartridge HS code, the handheld inkjet printer HS code, and the inkjet printer HSN code.
| Code on our export documents | 8443 9990 90 |
|---|---|
| Description on the invoice line | thermal inkjet ink cartridges, HP45 format |
The code we declare for the cartridges sits in the subheading for parts and accessories of printing, copying and facsimile machines — the residual line of that subheading, where goods no more specific line covers are declared. We put it on the invoice, the packing list and the export declaration of every shipment, and we do not change it from one order to the next. What the code means for your import is your customs authority to decide, not us.
If your broker proposes a different code, follow your broker — they answer to your customs authority, we do not. What we can do is declare consistently from shipment to shipment, and add whatever reference your broker asks for, importer number, purchase order reference, net and gross weights, to the invoice and the packing list.
The machines and the laser: reference codes
None of the numbers below is a declaration of ours. We do not build these machines — they come from our specialist equipment-manufacturing partners, and each machine is declared by whoever supplies it. These are the tariff lines this class of equipment is normally cited at, written down because buyers ask, and to be confirmed by that supplier and by your broker.
| Handheld inkjet printer | 8443 3221 00 / 8443 3931 00 |
|---|---|
| In-line inkjet printer | 8443 3221 00 / 8443 3931 00 |
| Industrial line coder | 8443 3221 00 / 8443 3931 00 |
| Laser marking machine | 8456 1100 90 |
The three inkjet rows are one class of machine, and one question moves them: whether the unit can be connected to a computer or a network. That is the split the two lines in the table stand for, and only the supplier of the machine can say which side yours falls on. The fourth row is not a printer at all — a laser marker is a machine tool, and laser equipment is also screened against dual-use export control lists before it ships. Screening against those lists is the exporter’s job, and no tariff code settles it.
Ink cartridge HS code
This is the box a broker or an import form asks you to fill: the code that goes next to thermal inkjet ink cartridges. The figure we put there is the one in the first table above, the code on our own export documents. Read it as what we declare, not as a ruling on what your goods are — the classification decision is your customs authority to make, and your broker to argue.
Inkjet printer HSN code
HSN is not a second system. It is the Indian name for the same Harmonized System — Harmonized System of Nomenclature — and Indian filings and GST invoices quote it at six, eight or more digits. So an inkjet printer HSN code and an inkjet printer HS code are one question asked with two words. What changes is only the number of digits your own filing needs: take the code to the depth your broker asks for and let them extend it.
Handheld inkjet printer HS code
A handheld printer is a machine, not a cartridge, and we do not build the machine — the handheld and in-line units are supplied together with our specialist equipment-manufacturing partners. The machine is declared by whoever supplies it, so treat the equipment table above as a starting point and not as a declaration of ours, then confirm the line with that partner or with your broker. We can only speak for the cartridges we fill, and for the code we put on them.
Questions that arrive with the price
Is the price per cartridge or per box?
Per cartridge. Cartridges are packed in standard cartons, and the packing list for your order states the units and the cartons.
What is the minimum order?
One carton, which is 160 cartridges. Qualify a batch on your own line, then scale up.
Do I pay for samples?
Print sampling on your own material is free of charge. Send the substrate you actually code on and the code content, and we print on it.
Which delivery terms do you quote?
Every published figure on this site is EXW — Ex Works — so the number is the factory price of the goods, and freight, insurance, duty and local taxes sit outside it. Tell us the destination and we will build the quotation on another term if you prefer, CIF or DAP for example, so you can compare the two on the same document.
What happens if the goods do not match the page?
Tell us within 30 days of delivery and send the goods back in a condition we can resell them in. We refund 100% of what you paid for the goods — no restocking deduction and no handling fee — and the policy applies to every country we ship to.
Can the price change after I order?
A quotation states a price and the period it holds. We do not change a confirmed price without telling you first.
What to send us for a price
Send these five things and the first reply is a price instead of a question.
- 01 The cartridge: 12.7 mm or 25.4 mm, and black or colour.
- 02 The quantity you expect over a year, and the size of the first order.
- 03 The ink system, or the substrate and the job if you are not yet sure which one you need.
- 04 The destination country, and the delivery term you buy on.
- 05 Whether the cartridge label carries your brand, and whether the ink has to be adjusted.
Samples are free for qualified enquiries. We will ask for the substrate and the coding content, and we may ask for a photograph of the product and the area to be printed — that usually saves a round of questions.
What we do not claim
We are a new company. XinmoJet was registered in August 2026 and we do not claim a longer history. The experience sits with the people, not with the age of the business — everyone here came from inside the TIJ cartridge industry, with more than ten years each across cartridges, printheads and ink, before joining us. We hope it is useful on your line. We also display no certification marks, because we will not put a CE, RoHS or ISO mark on a page before the certificate is in hand.
